Understanding Data for the Secondary Classroom - EDU 700B 2012 93
3.0 Semester Units
Teachers frequently hear "use data-driven strategies" or "set data-driven targets". There is a great deal of data available for California teachers. How do you look at it without being overwhelmed? How do you actually apply it to instruction? This course will teach you how to look at the data in a way that allows you to immediately impact instruction and student achievement in your classroom as well as being comfortable with the data. You'll get to know the data resources available to you and know which strategies to use to change your classroom to be a more effective instructional space and contribute to overall school improvement.
