Learn more about teaching children traditional American dances as part of a music and PE curriculum. This includes circle, contra, square and long-ways dances. Dancing is one of the best ways children can express themselves, while counting to rhythm, learning steps and practicing listening skills, cooperation, manners and teamwork.
Anyone can easily learn steps to teach children to dance by dancing themselves. Not only will you have fun learning these basic dances as you learn easy approaches to teach them, you will also enjoy the exercise. So come :Dance York Socks OFF - AGAIN! Prior class not a requirement.
