Earth Science - Planning is designed to allow you to take the time needed to plan your earth science curriculum. By meeting the requirements of this class, participating teachers will earn two semester units of graduate level extension credit from the University of San Diego, a fully accredited university. If you also enroll in and complete the requirements of the Earth Science - Implementation course, you will earn another semester unit. That would give you a total of three semester units for preparing and implementing your earth science curriculum.

The Planning and Implementation Series - Science is designed to encourage teachers to take the time needed to plan their curriculum in the areas of physical, earth, or life science. After thoughtfully planning a unit in one or more areas of science, you will have the opportunity to earn additional credits by implementing the unit(s). You'll also be asked to reflect on its effectiveness so as to allow for possible improvements in the future. The series consists of six courses:
- EDU 559ZA Earth Science - Planning
- EDU 559ZB Earth Science - Implementation
- EDU 559ZC Physical Science - Planning
- EDU 559ZD Physical Science - Implementation
- EDU 559ZE Life Science - Planning
- EDU 559ZF Life Science - Implementation
