1.0 Semester Unit
This course will explore strategies that educators can use to help the young people they come in contact with develop the proper character for living in a diverse society.
By the end of this course, you will have had the opportunity to:
- Examine and define character.
- Examine and define sportsmanship.
- Personalize and develop strategies to help build good character and sportsmanship in students/athletes.
Teaching Standards met in this course are:
- Establishing a climate that promotes fairness and respect.
- Promoting social development and group responsibility.
- Establishing and maintaining standards for student behavior.
