Risk Management will help the athletic coach plan and organize his/her program while minimizing the risk of liability.
By the end of the course you will have had the opportunity to:
- examine and understand how to use the four-step plan for managing risk in the areas of activities, equipment, facilities, matching of athletes, evaluation of injuries or incapacity, supervision of activities, warning of inherent risks and providing proper emergency assistance.
- identify and examine additional duties a coach must consider to reduce the risk of liability.
- develop a list of necessary information to design an emergency card which would be unique to his/her coaching assignment.
