Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) Collaboration between ASCD and the University of San Diego (accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges) allows educators to participate in professional development activities sponsored by ASCD and to obtain graduate extension credit from USD. Credit hours are generally dependent on the intensity of each course; essentially 15 hours of contact work is equivalent to one unit of credit. Credits may be transferred to a degree program, but participants should first consult with the degree-granting organization for this permission. USD credits are most often used for teacher certification and/or salary enhancement purposes.
Dyslexia Training Institute Graduate Credit for Dyslexia Training Institute Personal and Professional Development Courses Collaboration between the Dyslexia Training Institute(DTI) and the University of San Diego (accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges) allows students in DTI classes to register to receive graduate credit from the University of San Diego (USD).
